Today we talk about embracing your season of life and living fully right where you are. We encourage you to press into where God has you in this season, because we believe he wants to do a work in you and through you, right where he has you.
We also chat a bit about the new school year and set you up to win with some great ideas for homework stations. Because if you’re anything like us, the school year snuck up on us a bit, and we are totally not ready for the homework battle. Can we get an amen?!
We hope you enjoy this one!
Thanks so much for listening <3

DESIGN CHAT: Homework Station Ideas
Ok rock start momma’s…here are some tips to kick this school year off right in terms of homework. The key is to make an interesting space, that appears to be “fun”, but is totally organized, functional, and will even feed their ravenous after school appetites 😉 Good luck!!!
1. KEEP THE SUPPLIES ORGANIZED AND FUN:

- Save your vegetable cans for pencils, markers, glue & label or decorate them with cute paper or washi tape // images via lemons lavender and laundry & the crafted sparrow
- Try to find ways to personalize the supplies for them
- Create a fun supply turntable using glass jars & washi tape // images via mom time out and organizing made fun
2. HAVE A SNACK READY AND WAITING
- If you have a mix of the healthy stuff and few of their favorites within reach at the homework station, they won’t waste valuable homework time digging thru the pantry and staring into the frig // image via what the fork food blog
- You can also make snacks fun! This takes a little extra work, but it will make them feel loved and they will look forward to these little surprises during homework time // image via a few short cuts
3. CREATE A PERSONAL DESK SPACE FOR KIDS
- This is great for bigger kids who need to really concentrate and have some ownership over their things // image via decorating your small space
